Rob Au is currently working as a Lighting Supervisor at Rhythm & Hues on "Everyone Loves Whales," a romantic commedy for Universal Pictures slated for release in 2012.  Most recently, Rob completed work as a 3D Environment Lookdev Lead on "Hop" for Universal Pictures.  His credits include a number of technically challenging projects, among them “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" and "The Land of the Lost."
In 2008, Rob was tasked with helping to solve the complicated effect of transforming Jet Li into a three headed dragon for “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor." Then in the end of the same year, Rob was assigned to help develop new techniques and technology to create vast set extensions for Universal's "The Land of the Lost."  Rob's credits also include various roles in lighting for, "Night at the Museum," "The Golden Compass," "Alvin and the Chipmunks:  The Squeakquel," and "The A-Team."
In 2006 after graduating with a BFA in animation from Brigham Young University's award winning animation program, Rob founded his own one man vfx company called 2bitfx.  He most recently finished work on the critically acclaimed web series, "Book of Jer3miah."
While at Brigham Young University, Rob was an integral part of creating the visuals for the student film, "Der Ostwind," which went on to become an official selection at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.
